On Saturday 13 February, a fire broke out at Emberbrook Community Health Centre in Thames Ditton.
The location was being used as a vaccination site at the time and thanks to staff and volunteers, everyone in the building was safely evacuated. The vaccine supply has been secured and Surrey and London fire services have been attending on site.
We apologise to anyone who was booked in for their vaccination on Saturday afternoon (13/02), and wasn’t able to receive it. The practice team will be in touch to re-schedule these appointments. The next vaccination clinic is due to run from Wednesday 17 February and we will be running the clinic from Thames Ditton Centre for the Community, located nearby in Mercer Close (KT7 0BS).
We will be contacting people who are booked in to have their vaccination to re-confirm appointments and provide details of the new location. If you haven’t heard from us, but already have a booked appointment this week, please simply attend as planned and you will be re-directed to the new site. People arriving by car can either park on the Emberbrook site or at the Thames Ditton Centre for the Community, which also has parking available.
Giggs Hill Surgery (part of Glenlyn Medical Centre) is operating as usual, with all other services running as normal.
Finally we would like to acknowledge the huge amount of hard work that has been undertaken by our GP and practice colleagues, CCG staff, volunteers and wider partners, in securing a new vaccination site and for getting services back up and running so quickly. In particular staff at the Glenlyn Medical Centre who worked round the clock to make sure the practice was able to open to patients as usual on Monday morning, without a single clinic missed.
We will keep this web page updated with the latest information.
